Please have your items at the road in front of your house by 6 A.M. Monday morning of your assigned week so you will not miss your designated monthly pick up.

The amount of debris we will pick up at each house should fit into a standard pickup bed. If your debris exceeds this, there will be a charge. Please call the office at 256-828-0726 to make arrangements.

Items we do not pick up:
Tree stumps, dirt, tires, automotive products, pesticides, paint, televisions, computers, glass, shingles, concrete, bricks, or rocks.

We do not pick-up debris generated by contractors.

District 1 also has a landfill at 385 Beth Road in New Market.   Hours are Monday-Friday (except County Holidays) 7:00am -4:00pm and Saturdays 7:00am-1:00pm.

Residents of District 1 are allowed up to 3 loads per month at no charge. If you have extenuating circumstances, come by the District 1 Office.

Contractors can use the landfill, at a charge, if the materials come from District 1. A copy of the building permit will be needed as proof of where the material came from.

The landfill does not accept: propane tanks, chemicals, or household garbage.
