We will not pick up debris generated by contractors. If you hire a contractor to do remodeling or yard work they are responsible for removing their debris from your property.

We will begin Week 1 on Mon. July 6, 2020

Please have your items at the road in front of your house early Monday morning of your assigned week so you will not miss your designated monthly pickup. Thank you!

On occasion, we will complete a week early and start the next week's pickup. We will always go back through on your designated week even if we have been through the week before.

Large Item Street Locator Listing

The District 4 office is responsible for the removal of your large trash debris once a month.

Please place large debris in front of your home at curbside or the edge of the roadway by 6:00am on the beginning of your scheduled week.  During peak collection times, due to the increase in the amount of trash being placed out, collections may be delayed.  The amount of debris we will pick up at each house should fit into a standard pickup truck bed.  If your debris exceeds this, please call our office at 256-852-8351 to make special arrangements.  A service charge of $50 plus additional amount for disposal fees will be assessed by our Debris Collection Foreman.

Typical trash items that are picked up include:

  • Green Waste - Tree limbs (must be less than 8 ft in length), Brush, Bagged leaves & grass clippings, etc.

  • Appliances - Washers, Refrigerators, etc.

  • Furniture

Items NOT picked up include, but are not limited to:

  • Tree stumps, dirt, tires, automotive products, pesticides, paint, televisions, computers, glass, shingles, insulation, sheetrock, concrete, bricks, or rocks.  These items can be taken to the Huntsville Landfill (256-881-8700) or The Handle with Care Collection Center (256-880-6054). Household garbage/waste or refuse that would normally be placed in the green garbage cans WILL NOT be picked up.

All waste must be placed out for collection in such a manner not to obstruct the flow of surface water or be an obstruction to traffic or pedestrians.

NOTE: If you hire professional services such as, home reconstruction or tree disposal, the workers should dispose of the waste they generate and CANNOT put this out for county collection.

Large Item Drop Off
