Location: The project runs along Old Mtn Fork Rd from Mountain Fork Rd to Winchester Rd and includes Winchester Rd from Old Mtn Fork Rd to College St in New Market. The total project length is about 1.8 miles.

Project Description: The project includes the installation of 9200 ft of new ductile-iron pipe to replace existing distribution mains. Customer water services will be transferred to the new main, once installed. Repairs to roadway surfaces, driveways, and landscaping will be completed as the project progresses and after the bulk of the water main installation is complete. There may be temporary impacts to traffic routing due to lane closures as the work progresses.

Project Timeline: This project is complete and is now in the warranty stage. 

Need for Project: This project replaces aging water distribution main along Old Mtn Fork Rd that supplies the Eastern half of the service area with water from the Mountain Fork Water Treatment Plant.
