The Madison County Commission SENIOR Rx Program is designed to assist low-income Madison County residents, age 55 and above, who do not have prescription drug coverage, obtain medication for chronic illness(es) or condition(s) for free or at a low-cost.

Program staff facilitate access to pharmaceutical companies' patient assistance programs. These programs provide free or reduced price medications for low income individuals who are age 55 and older or persons who are disabled and in the two year waiting period before becoming eligible for Medicare.

Funding is provided by the Madison County Commission and the Alabama Department of Senior Services through the TARCOG/Area Agency on Aging.
