In most cases, you may remove a corrective lens driving restriction from your driver's license if you can prove that you are able to pass the vision test without the aid corrective lenses.

The State office will administer an eye exam to determine if the restriction can be removed. You must go to the office located at 7262 Governors West, Huntsville, AL 35806 or any of the other approved ALEA offices, to have a restriction removed or added.

Madison County offices cannot remove or add any restrictions or endorsements located on your driver license. You may also visit the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) website to set up an appointment.
